Poster rollout

Large glow-in-the-dark posters are set to be rolled out across the district in an attempt to clamp down on dog fouling following a successful trial.

The city council revealed last year that it would pilot the signs - which feature a pair of eyes, and the words “Thoughtless dog owners: we’re watching you” - in Wincheap over the spring. And now the local authority says they will be placed in “other parts of the district in the next month or two”. A spokesman said: “They sparked quite a bit of interest from the public.”
