COUNCIL PAY RISE

Councillors agreed to award all authority staff with a pay increase of at least £500 for those earning less than £29,000. Those on a yearly wage of more than £29,000 will see their pay packet increase by 1.8%.

The council will also undertake a review into the pros and cons of changing the hours of its working week from 37 to 35.
