Village post office return
Post Office services will be restored in Wingham next month with an ‘outreach’ counter operating from the village hall.
It follows the closure of the former office in the High Street in November by postmaster Karl Randall who said the business was no longer viable.
Now the company says it has organised a new temporary service which opens on Tuesday, March 24 and will be run by the Aylesham postmaster. There is good news in the community too for the village hall itself whose committee was struggling to recruit new members. But an appeal has resulted in a surge of interest and six new volunteers.
