Bagpuss to roam streets for appeal
Bagpuss will be strolling around the city centre next month in an effort to raise cash for a new hospice wing.
The fluffy pink feline will be spreading the word for the launch of a city-wide fundraiser. Money raised will go towards the Bagpuss Children’s Hospice Wing, in Brasov, Romania.
Named after Canterbury creator Peter Firmin’s iconic character, the hospice - which cares for seriously ill youngsters - is in need of £215,000.
After raising awareness of the fundraiser on the streets, Bagpuss will be in the Beaney at 7pm on Thursday, March 12, for the official launch.
