The Elephant just failed in their brave bid to overhaul Market A in the final week of the Faversham Darts League season.

With leaders Market having already finished their programme The Elephant needed six points from their home game against Railway but went down 5-4 leaving their rivals as champions, by just a point.

Swan claimed a 180 and was man-ofthe-match alongside Wes Gore. The Wine Vaults and Brents B produced a fluctuating affair which Brents led 3-2 after Len Boorman and Dave Forder had won the opening singles. Rob Forber’s win levelled it for the Vaults before Ian Frost restored the Brents lead. Chris Bedo again brought the teams level only for the reliable Rob Jones to clinch victory for The Vaults, helped by a maximum.

Jones and Dave Forder were men-of-the-match.
