Bailiff firm’s email gaffe
The city council has launched an investigation after bailiffs sent an email by mistake to more than 300 taxpayers.
Debt collection agency Dukes circulated the message to 330 households on behalf of the authority last Monday (June 29).
The council uses the firm to recover unpaid council tax - but has told people to ignore the email.
It added: “We’re very sorry. We’ve launched an investigation.”
