Littlebourne have already claimed five trophies during an historic season - but they still aren’t done just yet!

The Premier Division champions have recently added the Whitstable Senior Charity Cup and the Les and Sue Barleycorn Challenge Cup to their impressive collection this season after two close finals against league runners-up Chilham, having previously won both the Canterbury and Faversham Senior Charity cups.

“We have won every game as well so we have not dropped a single point,” said joint-manager Shaun Loomer, who runs the side alongside Jamie Bounds.

“It’s a bit surreal, really. We are the first team in Canterbury and District League history to hold all five trophies.

“I just pick the side and say a few words, but it’s the lads that deserve all the credit, really.

“It’s a fantastic achievement. I’m very proud and it’s great for a small village like Littlebourne.”

Littlebourne were last night (Wednesday) due to play the University of Kent in their last league fixture before they aim to add a sixth trophy at Maidstone’s Gallagher Stadium when they face Medway City in the Kent Junior A Cup final on Saturday, May 28.

It has very much been a family affair for the Loomers at Littlebourne where Robbie Loomer, Shaun’s brother, is the club’s top scorer while the team was reformed by dad Craig and has gone from strength-to-strength since.

On what it is like to manage his brother who has only played 20 times this season, Shaun explained: “It’s the only time we clash! We get on really well until he is on a sports field and I am moaning at him or he is moaning at me. But he is actually a very good friend, as well as a brother.

“He has been in a league of his own in terms of goals scored this season.”

In the Whitstable Cup, Premier Division top scorer Robbie Loomer scored another two and Matt Martin got the other in a 3-1 win, while Ben Walsh replied.

Meanwhile, in the Les and Sue Barleycorn Challenge Cup on Saturday at Whitstable Town, Loomer, captain for the day, scored the only goal, bringing his league and league cup tally to 30 for the season. They claimed that victory despite being reduced to 10 men.

Chilham will play their Kent Junior Cup Group B final against Surrey side Selhurst on Saturday at the Gallagher (3pm).

In the league, Baypoint completed their season with a 4-1 win at bottom side Wingham through two-goal Regan Garrett, Alfy Galvin and Luke Lockhart.

After winning the Faversham Junior Charity Cup, AFC Herne Bay have now added the Whitstable Junior Charity Cup after a 5-0 win over Monkton.

Phoenix Ward and Billy Redford both scored twice, Reyce Marsh netting the other.

Gavin Marsh hit an extra-time winner for Woodnesborough against Barham in the Canterbury Junior Cup final.

Marsh also struck with Kenny Saunders the other scorer after the league’s top scorer Matt Gilbert - now on 40 this season - and Silas Lingwood netted for Barham as the final ended 2-2 in normal time.

The Betteshanger derby produced 13 goals in Division 1 - all for Welfare against Sports.

Jared Lawrence (3), Damion Cord (2) and Ethan Humpreys (2) netted alongside Travis Austin, Rikki Christian, Toby Cook, Rory Mcguire, Sean Gilmore and John Charlton, who converted a penalty.
