Strike Force hit back to claim derby honours
A thrilling second-half fightback saw Faversham Strike Force under-15 Lightning earn a 2-1 victory over top-of-the-table derby rivals Faversham Town. Player-of-the-match Lewis Martin Hall was their star, winning and converting a penalty before grabbing a fine late winner.
A Will Jones screamer was the highlight of under-13 Thunder’s 3-3 draw with Ramsgate Red. Sammy Laker’s sharp half-volley and Jones’ opener had put the Force in control before the visitors fought back to take the lead. Jack Wyles was named player-ofthe-match as he added two assists to his tally.
Under-11 Thunder were in fine form at home to Eastry Ravens. Robbie Winton was their hat-trick
hero with other goals also being scored by Ronnie Booth and Olly Brabon.
James Davies was named their top player on the day.
Thomas Muggridge and Dylan Jones netted for under-10 Hurricanes who showed real grit at East Kent.
Under-9 Lightning faced Herne
Bay Harriers in an entertaining game - Harrison Boulton and Hamish Allison netting for the Force while Ethan Moss was named player-of-the-match for a battling display.
Harry Allen, Mason Scamp and Leighton Dean grabbed the goals to round off under-9 Hurricanes’ classy performance against Tyler Hill.
George Saunders was under-7 Hurricanes’ player-of-the-match for his work-rate and tackling against Hernhill. Felix Redman scored a fine hat-trick. Arthur Haigh went even better with four goals for under-7 Thunder against Ramsgate, with further efforts from two-goal Eddie Machin and William Filmer rounding off a fantastic team performance. Freddie Tumber was named their top player.
