Viral teen stunned as football stolen by angry pensioner

Skills influencer posts clip sparking debate

A football skills influencer with more than 200,000 social media followers was left stunned when an elderly man stole her ball while she was playing in the high street.

A video on Tiktok showing the moment the pensioner snatched the ball from the young star outside Caffè Nero in Canterbury has now been viewed more than 300,000 times.

In the clip, the Margate-based social media star who goes by the name ‘Anna Panna’ is displaying her quick footwork in the city centre when a man with a walking stick runs behind her and takes the ball.

A person behind the camera tries to warn the profession­al panna player of the gentleman’s presence, and can be heard shouting “behind you!”. With the help of his cane, the angry man can be seen swiping the ball from under her feet before casually strolling inside Caffè Nero with it tucked under

Anna and the other children she is playing with can be seen looking on in shock as the bizarre incident unfolds. The 14-year-old star then sees the funny side and walks towards the camera laughing, with the cameraman also sniggering in disbelief. Panna football is a contempora­ry form of street soccer, in which the the aim of the game is to play the ball through the opposition’s legs. Profession­al panna player Anna has been playing street football since 2018, with some of her videos amassing millions of views.

The Tiktok clip has stirred mixed reaction online, attracting more than 10,000 likes and 209 comments.

One person said: “Well done that man. If you want to play football then go to the park.”
