Corey’s attention is on STONE SOUR this year, but what about SLIPKNOT? We go inside The Nine’s future plans… When K! last caught up with a member of Slipknot aside from Corey – one Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan – the band’s beating heart warned us: “It’s not going to be easy in 2018. But I tell you what, you want to look out for Clown in 2019, because you’re not going to like him. You’re not going to understand him…” And though Corey is very much focused on his non-masked group for 2018, it looks as though the Iowa heroes are nevertheless on course for a 2019 follow-up to .5: The Gray Chapter.

The vocalist has revealed that he’s already heard several ’Knot demos, and the music is “everything I wanted it to be”. The frontman has written some “really dark” lyrics to three new Slipknot tracks, adding that it’s “probably the most autobiographical I’ve been in years”. So a new Slipknot LP will be in the works next year, with the band set to “finish writing it, record it and be ready to go on the road.” Lovely stuff. More news as soon as we have it…
