“I WAS TRAINING TO JOIN THE ARMY…”

A popstar-ready studio on a yacht, complete with its own military, might seem absurd to some. Not to DANNY WORSNOP, though. Obviously…

I WANTED TO BE AN ACTOR MORE THAN A MUSICIAN

“I just had no idea how to get into it. To do music, you get a couple of people, form a band and start playing. With acting, you’ve got to find a way on to a stage or set and get hired. I didn’t know anyone in the industry, so I pursued being in a band instead.”

I’VE BEEN BRIBED WITH CARS AND DRUGS

“People have flown out to shows to pump alcohol and drugs into me when I wanted to take a break. I was dealing with personal issues, but figures in the industry didn’t want me to stop touring because that’d mean they wouldn’t get paid. I’ve been bribed with everything from a set of headphones to a car, and it shows that this industry has a shitty side.”

I’M WORKING ON MY OWN TV PROGRAMME

“It’s a travel-cum-reality-cum-me-doing-allthe-insane-things-i-already-do show. There’s going to be lots of explosions! We do a lot of charity work within it: we’re going to places like Syria and building new towns… and then blowing the old ones up!”

I’M BUILDING A LUXURY STUDIO FIT FOR BEYONCÉ

“She – or anyone else – will be able to have our jet pick them up and fly them to our island, which will have armoured cars and a private military. There’ll be an inhouse producer, a restaurant, and a yacht which itself has a studio on it, so they could record in the middle of the ocean!”

ASKING ALEXANDRIA HAVE LOTS OF CELEB FANS

“We’ve tied those worlds together, because we’re working closely with ESPN and the NFL. I’m also currently working with [motorsport competitor and stuntman] Travis Pastrana on some stuff. Those sporting ties and celebrities help us by being way more famous than we are!”

I’M LIVING OUT OF A BAG

“At the start of 2018 I gave away all my belongings – including my house – and moved into a backpack; everything I own that isn’t a gun or a dog is in that bag. I got rid of my cars, my motorcycles… literally everything. All I have are T-shirts, toiletries, a laptop, a phone charger, knives, guns and a dog.”

MY BIGGEST REGRET IS FUCKING AROUND

“If I’d have started my entrepreneurial journey 10 years ago, I’d be in the ocean on a yacht right now. And if that were the case, touring would be different: we’d play Fridays and Saturdays and then fly home, and do that all year round. That’s where I’d love things to get to because Ben [Bruce, guitar] has got a second kid now, and I don’t want him to miss his child growing up. I live on the road, so it doesn’t matter to me, but to my bandmates, time at home is important.”
