PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE

Farewell, FRANK IERO AND THE PATIENCE. Hello, FRANK IERO AND… well, no-one knows just yet. But soon we will…

1 WORK ON FRANK’S ‘NEXT CHAPTER’ HAS BEGUN

A sneaky Instagram video from Frank has confirmed that his all-new era is in its early stages. “I’m happy to inform you that work has begun on the next chapter!” he teased. Which technically means that Frank Iero And The Patience – who released 2016’s Parachutes, and 2017’s Keep The Coffins Coming – are no more.

2 BUT WE HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE NAME WILL BE

The first iteration of his post-mcr work came under the ‘frnkiero andthe cellabration’ name, while subsequent music was then attached to ‘Patience’. Ever one to keep us on our toes – now more than ever as a solo artist – what’s this grammar-hating frontman going to go for this time?

3 IT’LL BE INSPIRED BY THE MUSICIAN JUST LIVING HIS LIFE

In early 2018, Frank told The Aquarian that his plan for the year was to: “Stop and take some time to live. To write and record. To make some new things. I like having a pretty open calendar, I’ve never really had that before. I’m interested to see where this takes me.” So are we, Frank. So. Are. We.

4 AND IT’S GOING TO FEATURE SOME VERY SPECIAL GUESTS

From Slipknot to Against Me!, Frank has fine taste in music. So the exciting news that he’s working with people who he’s wanted to start a band with for 10 years bodes extremely well. “It was beyond any expectation I could possibly have had,” he said. We’re anticipating very good company indeed…

5 FRANK IS STOKED WITH THE WAY THINGS ARE GOING

“I can’t stop grinning like a fuhking [sic] maniacal idiot,” he said. Having spent his year so far in Disneyland and with a new pet dog, that could partly be the reason he’s so happy. But we’re confident those new demos are having that effect, too.

6 …AND HIS RETURN WILL BE ONE OF 2018’S HIGHLIGHTS!

It’s been six months since his last gig – and we’ll be waiting longer still for tour dates. It’s safe to say, then, that Frank’s live comeback is going to be unmissable. Anyone got some of that ‘patience’ stuff knocking about for us to borrow?
