How was that for you?

“It was amazing – I could tell the audience had been waiting a while for us to play Take Off Your Colours in full. The Manchester shows on this tour were the first to sell out, and I feel like we have a really good rapport with the people here. We all came offstage absolutely blown away and buzzing about it – I really can’t complain! We had loads of family members here, too, which made it an even better night.”

What’s it been like playing these old songs again?

“This whole thing is an idea we had that got out of control, but we’ve really enjoyed giving the old songs a new lease of life. We wanted to give Take Off Your Colours the celebration it deserved; it’s not quite a send-off, but this tour will probably be the last time quite a few of those songs are played, so it was an important thing to do.”

How did it feel having your sister perform Always Attract with you?

“It was great to have her here – we haven’t done that in many years. We wanted to make these shows extra special, and I thought Manchester would be a great place for her to make her first appearance on this tour, because there’s no better place in terms of the crowd reaction. The response she got was awesome. It’s special when you can combine family and music – we really treasure those moments.”
