PATTERN STITCHES MOSS STITCH (Multiple of 2 stitches) Row 1: K1, *p1, k1; rep from * to end row. Repeat Row 1 for pattern.
BUTTERFLY STITCH (Multiple of 10 + 5 stitches) Row 1 (RS): *Slip 5 purlwise with yarn in front, k5; repeat from * to last 5 stitches, slip 5 with yarn in front. Row 2: Purl. Rows 3-8: Repeat rows 1 and Row 9: Repeat row 1. Set-up row 2: Work in moss stitch as established to marker, purl to next marker, work in moss stitch as established to end of row.
Rows 1-10: Maintaining 5 border stitches at each edge in moss stitch throughout, work rows 1–10 of butterfly stitch pattern between markers.
