A big hand for Lisa
Well done to Lisa Riley (October issue) for telling us what we already knew but were fearful of saying – you lose weight by eating and drinking less and moving more. And you put on weight by overeating and drinking and spending too much time on the couch. Yes, I know there are people who have biological problems that make slimming extremely difficult but the current trend of using obese ladies as role models sets a terrible example to young girls. Overweight people shouldn’t be victimised but neither should they be lauded. Your October issue solved a puzzle for me. Where do pubs and restaurants obtain those perfect logs that are used for decoration in alcoves? A man somewhere in Lancashire polishes them to perfection! I suppose someone has to do it.
