KIDS OFF THE COUCH

Lancashire Life - - FEEDBACK -

Your feature on the Anton children who are working their way through the Lake District’s ‘Wainwrights’ was a pleasure to read. Whenever young people are mentioned these days it’s invariably in a negative context involving the phrases ‘social media’ and ‘couch potatoes’. Here was a shining example of good parenting. Autumn is well underway and the cooler weather and shorter days don’t necessarily mean fewer opportunities to get out and about, writes Vijay Arogyasami.

You could do the wonderful walk near Pendle Hill in this month’s issue but if that’s not your thing, don’t worry, our website has a list of the best spooky Halloween events happening in the run-up to October 31.

Bonfire night lands on a Monday this year, which has mean that many of the county’s firework displays will take place on the weekend of November 3 and 4. Be sure to check out our events page.
