Your feature on the Anton children who are working their way through the Lake District’s ‘Wainwrights’ was a pleasure to read. Whenever young people are mentioned these days it’s invariably in a negative context involving the phrases ‘social media’ and ‘couch potatoes’. Here was a shining example of good parenting. Autumn is well underway and the cooler weather and shorter days don’t necessarily mean fewer opportunities to get out and about, writes Vijay Arogyasami.
