Queen­scourt’s win­ter warmer

The an­nual win­ter ball staged to raise funds for Queen­scourt Hospice in South­port brought in more than £15,000 for the char­ity.

There were 230 guests at the Formby Hall Golf Re­sort and Spa to en­joy an evening of fun and fundrais­ing, hosted by tele­vi­sion broad­caster Paul Crone. He was also in charge of an auc­tion with bid­ders vy­ing for a host of top prizes do­nated by lo­cal busi­nesses.

As well as a de­li­cious din­ner, there was also en­ter­tain­ment, pro­vided free of charge, from the disco band Soul Searchers, gui­tarist Will Hal­li­gan and the group Shabby Chic.
