Lancashire Life - - PLACES TO VISIT -

The Promenade is blessed with a railway station where services from Lancashire continue to drop off visitors and expose them to the stunning views across Morecambe Bay.

The mile-long prom has many other attractions, in particular the gardens maintained by the Grange Civic Society.

By the station there is also a water garden, served by Picklefoot Spring, and home to a collection of exotic ducks and geese, now restocked after 44 birds, with a combined value of over £1,600, were stolen last July.

This year all eyes will be on the lido, and whether the council ducks the demands for the reopening of the lido, or whether the scheme will finally take flight.
