A help­ing hand

More than 150 guests, in­clud­ing the Mayor of Bolton Elaine Sher­ring­ton and May­oress Sa­man­tha Sher­ring­ton, at­tended the glam­orous fundrais­ing gala ball at the Last Drop Vil­lage Ho­tel and Spa in Bolton.

The event was held to raise money for Backup, a char­ity that ac­com­mo­dates and sup­ports young home­less peo­ple aged 16-25 years of age, specif­i­cally those who are strug­gling with men­tal health is­sues or do­mes­tic abuse is­sues. The evening raised an in­cred­i­ble £24,123 which will go to­wards con­tin­u­ing to sup­port the hard work of the char­ity. Guests en­joyed en­ter­tain­ment from Soul and Motown sen­sa­tion Diane Shaw and her band as well as an open­ing per­for­mance by the York­shire Vol­un­teer Corps of Drums.
