A fitting tribute
Liverpool chef Ellis Barrie won a coveted place in the finals of this year’s BBC2 ‘The Great British Menu’ series. It was his winning fish dish, a mackerel tartare called ‘53rd millionth baby’ which, he explained, was in honour of the nursing staff who delivered his little boy. This series has been celebrating seventy years of the NHS.
