An evening of giving
A glamorous charity ball organised by friends Liz Nelson, of Milnthorpe, and Jackie Holmes, of Natland, along with Jackie’s daughter, Amy Hardy took place at the Castle Green Hotel in Kendal. The sell-out event which was supported by many local businesses raised an incredible £20,000 for the Rosemere Cancer Foundation. The charity works to ensure cancer patients from throughout Lancashire and South Cumbria access world class treatment by funding cutting edge equipment, research and other services that are beyond limited NHS resources.
Guests had the opportunity to win some incredible raffle prizes and one lucky winner took home a diamond necklace which had been donated by Banks Lyon Jewellers. With entertainment from The Seals, the dance floor remained full as guests danced well into the evening.
