Follow a short pathway from Moor Hall and you’ll reach a wonderful old cruck barn. This is a second more informal dining room and – surprise, surprise – it’s called The Barn.
The 65-seat room with a theatrical open kitchen at one end makes for a spectacular venue to enjoy everything from a not-so-humble Lancashire hotpot to a Sunday lunch of roasted 40-day aged Buccleuch sirloin of beef. It was awarded at Michelin Bib Gourmand this year.
Downstairs a charcuterie and curing room, a small dairy and a brewery will complete a remarkable hive of culinary excellence.
