Walk the walk
For stunning views of Windermere, climb 210-metre high Orrest Head, opposite Windermere Station, the first fell walked by Alfred Wainwright, from his then (1930) home at Blackburn. Suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs, the walk of 2.7 miles can be achieved by a fit, adult walker in 20 minutes.
