For stun­ning views of Win­der­mere, climb 210-me­tre high Or­rest Head, op­po­site Win­der­mere Sta­tion, the first fell walked by Al­fred Wain­wright, from his then (1930) home at Black­burn. Suit­able for wheel­chairs and pushchairs, the walk of 2.7 miles can be achieved by a fit, adult walker in 20 min­utes.
