The sun was shining as 100 guests gath­ered to sup­port a sold-out Golf Day at Royal Birk­dale Golf Club in aid of the UK’S lead­ing youth char­ity, The Prince’s Trust.

The af­ter­noon raised over £51,000, which will go di­rectly to­wards helping young people across the North West to live, learn and earn. Guests could also take part in an auc­tion with prizes in­clud­ing a Pri­vate Tour of High­grove Gar­dens, a hol­i­day to Mau­ri­tius and a VIP trip to

Paul Gil­bert, Chair of The Prince’s Trust Golf Com­mit­tee, said: ‘We are im­mensely grate­ful to Royal Birk­dale for let­ting us hold the event and to all our sup­port­ers and spon­sors for con­tin­u­ing to make this spe­cial event a huge suc­cess. Our aim is to cre­ate a pos­i­tive fu­ture for young people, their fam­i­lies and the lo­cal com­mu­nity.’
