FIT FOR A QUEEN
The problem with antique dressing tables is that, generally, no one wants them in today’s depressed furniture auctions. A half decent Georgian example might be given a new lease of life, redesigned as a ‘Queen Anne kneehole desk’, but this classy Art Deco piece with matching stool in classy bird’s eye maple stands apart from the rest. All it needs is the right house. It sold for £540 at Cato Crane auctioneers in Liverpool.
