THIS is JLR'S Marmite car: folk either love it or hate it. Many enthusiasts resent the fact it's nothing like the original, but others love the sophisticated new technology that makes this the most capable production off-roader ever made.

Engine variants range from 2.0-litre diesel and petrol, to a 3.0-litre mild petrol hybrid, aimed at boosting power rather than boosting economy.

Demand is outstripping supply, with the prices of secondhand models much the same as new ones.

BUYER’S TIP: There's a long waiting list for all 110 models and SWB 90 isn't expected until 2021.
