Don’t panic! (there are always back issues)

I’VE spent the last year in lockdown reading through back issues of LRM, which occupy a shelf or two in my garage.

I’ve seen again the speculation as to what the new Defender was going to look like and have observed again comments on the rising governmental opposition to diesel as a fuel, plus the reasoned arguments that contributors like Dave Phillips have raised against electric cars.

I would certainly go along with the “don’t panic” attitude, and I don’t plan to cash in my diesel Freelander 2 for an electric car just yet.

In fact, I looked at a Nissan LEAF for my wife a while back, because I’m not against electric cars in principle, but when I asked about charging points at the main dealer who was selling the car, I was told that theirs was out of order, and the operator hadn’t come to fix it yet!
