Gerry Mcgovern gets another promotion

-

WHATEVER you think of Mcgovern, he’s clearly made an impression on Jaguar Land Rover CEO Thierry Bolloré, who has appointed him JLR Chief Creative Officer to the Board of Management. This comes after he was made Chief Creative Officer in October 2020. As the brand continues to transform its business, Gerry’s going to take the lead in the design functions of its future models, continuing as Bolloré says to elevate and protect their two great brands, and take creative direction across both of their global visual communications. Some say, his role in the transformation of the green oval cannot be overstated – from the 2010 Range Rover Evoque to the Land Rover Defender, he’s certainly defined and delivered a whole new generation of vehicles. Whether it’s the right thing for the brand…? Well time will tell.
