Land Rover Legends

-

A judging panel has been confirmed for the Land Rover Legends National Awards and half of the experts are associated with this very magazine, including LRM editor, Patrick Cruywagen, former contributor Philip Bashall (also well-known as trustee and general manager of the Dunsfold Collection), and one of LRM’S pool of photographers, Nick Dimbleby.

TV presenter and passionate Land Rover enthusiast Mark Evans; Doug Hill, manager and chief engineer at the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu; and James Taylor, author of over 40 Land Rover books, make up the remaining numbers.

The nomination deadline has been extended to April 30, with finalists to be announced on May 10, and winners revealed at the event itself which is to be held on June 12-13. Building on the success of the previous National Awards, 2021 sees the launch of a number of new award categories, which include: Original Vehicle (Utility, Range Rover, Discovery, Freelander), Restoration,

Bespoke Vehicle, Military Vehicle, Publication, and the Brian Bashall Memorial Award, made in memory of the founder of the Dunsfold Collection.

As well as the National Land Rover Awards, the 2021 event includes unique feature displays, the leading Land Rover clubs, the Legends Line Up! display, a dedicated Land Rover parking area, an exclusive Land Rover parade on the race circuit, and specialist exhibitors and traders – with Land Rover Legends tickets also being valid for the Thruxton Historic race meeting, running on the circuit over the same weekend.

Advance discounted tickets for Land Rover Legends are available now and full details can be found at landroverlegends.com.
