Range Rover Register
SCOPE: The Range Rover Register is a family-oriented club and welcomes owners of all models of Range Rover from the earliest prototypes to the very latest examples – from VELAR to Velar – as well as enthusiasts who don’t yet own one of these magnificent cars.
FOUNDED: The Range Rover Register was formed in late 1984 by a group of Land Rover Club members at a meeting of the Association of Rover Clubs. Bill King, who is now the club’s President, was given the task of collecting the subscriptions and setting the wheels in motion for the formation of the club. The original aim of the club was to trace and register the pre-production Range Rovers (known as VELARS) and the vehicles involved in the press launch in June 1970. Over the years it has evolved to encompass all models and generations of Range Rovers, and it is the only club for the marque officially recognised by Land Rover.
NEWSLETTER: Members receive six editions per year of Range Rover Owner & Enthusiast magazine.
WEBSITE: rrr.co.uk
MEMBERSHIP: Membership of the Range Rover Register costs £32.50 (UK) or £40 (Europe and overseas).
ACTIVITIES: In addition to attending the major 4×4 shows, the Register also attends classic car and country shows throughout the UK. These give members the opportunity to display their vehicles on our club stand, where the hospitality suite acts as a central point for members. The club stand is also a place to meet with other members and officers of the club. The grass roots activities of the club are organised by local Area Representatives who arrange regular regional social meetings and arrange days out off-roading or scenic driving. We try to include camping facilities at most of the events we organise.
