Closure of First Four Off Road

AFTER 20 years of trading, First Four Off Road are closing, with the owners Peter and Rose Lamb retiring.

The couple became involved with Land Rovers after they bought their first Series IIA in 1987. They were both active within the Series II Club, with Peter the club’s magazine editor and South West secretary for ten years. First Four was formed in 2001, after Peter was laid off from his driver training post with another off-road company, as a result of the foot and mouth crisis. His background, initially as a precision engineerin­g machinist producing aircraft components for British Aerospace, and later within the steel fabricatio­n industry, led to him combining these skills with his interest in Land Rovers, to develop a range of accessorie­s (including their Shadow bumpers and underbody protection). As the business run the financial grew, Rose side joined of things. the company to They plan to remain active Land Rover enthusiast­s, and are looking forward to having more time to spend travelling.
