Fastest 4x4xfar?
My 4x4 work is usually just Land Rovers, but I did shoot one unique 4x4 recently that wasn’t. California-based Porsche modifier Singer launched their latest car based on the Porsche 911, and I was one of three people to shoot the first pictures. The All-terrain Competition Study (ACS) is a safari-spec 911 built with UK Porsche rally legends Tuthill Porsche. Priced in the millions, Singer are the hottest name in the world for car builds/reimagining/restoration, call it what you will. In a restoration boom like recent years, everyone wants to be ‘The Singer of XXXX’, but to see one up close you realise they have a way to go to do that. I’ve never seen a car with so much attention to detail. Flat screens, performance turbos, sequential ’box, twin shocks – before you even look at the design.
I’m still happy with crash gearbox and 52 bhp, mind.
