Billing Off Road Show
PLANS for the fifth Billing Off Road Show are going well despite it still being a few months off. If you haven’t already pencilled it in, it’s due to take place 25-26 June. As well as the old favourites, some new traders are already booked in, meaning there should be a part for every occasion, and if you can’t uncover what you need you bound to find it in the autojumble. Optimill, which as you may know offers bespoke Cnc-machined parts, is sponsoring the showground, so be sure to visit its stand – the guys there are Land Rover enthusiasts and engineers, so you’re guaranteed good banter at the very least.
Work is being done on maintaining the off-road courses, as we speak. The Riverside Course is open to campers on Friday 24 June, and the Lakeside Course is open on both Saturday and Sunday. Here you can test yourselves and your vehicles by driving through five stretches of water, varied terrain and, of course, the infamous mud run. New to off-roading? Don’t worry, experienced marshals will be there to guide you. The show is being held in association with Land Rover Monthly for the second year, and we will be hosting the Show and Tell stage each day. If you would like to show a prestigious vehicle on the stage, please contact LRM editor Patrick by emailing patrick@lrm.co.uk.
Challenge South West will be demonstrating its vehicles around the custom-built course as well as offering passenger rides. Live music will be playing in the beer tent throughout the weekend, the food area will be selling a great variety of cuisine, and children’s entertainment will be plentiful, with a climbing wall, go-karts, face painting and much more… So don’t wait, book your tickets now.
