Captured in Clay

Impressed with a real cherry blossom twig, this delicate ceramic bowl is handmade in Axminster, Devon, by potter Marieanne Cavaciuti. After rolling out the white earthenware clay and carefully impressing it, she shapes the bowl over a mould. It is then fired, before being painted with glaze and fired again. The bowl measures 13 x 11in (33 x 28cm). Marieanne makes each to order, ensuring every one is unique.
