Worms at work

Landscape (UK) - - In The Garden -

Warmer temperatures rouse worms from their winter slumber. Young gardeners can watch them at work within a wooden wormery with observation window, designed and handmade in Lancashire by environmental educationist George Pilkington. A panel slots into place to return the wormery to darkness. Organic waste is added through the top, which the worms soon break down into compost.
