Roast as­para­gus and gar­lic

Pre­heat the oven to 180°C/gas mark 4. Trim the as­para­gus and cut the gar­lic bulbs in half, width­ways. Place both in a roast­ing tin and mix in the chives. Melt the but­ter in a saucepan and add the oil. Driz­zle the mix­ture over the as­para­gus. Sea­son with salt and sprin­kle over the pep­per­corns. Roast for 25 mins. Serve, gar­nished with the chives.
