Time To clean

-

The arrival of drier weather provides an opportunity to deep clean outdoor surfaces left discoloured by winter weather. Algae on flagstones and paths is removed by scrubbing. This reduces the risk of slipping while working outside. To clean the surface, soapy water is poured onto a small area. Using a stiff brush, back and forth strokes are applied with downward pressure, working methodically across the whole area that is to be treated. Care is taken not to splash plants or grass with the soapy water, to avoid damage. Once the whole area is clean, debris is rinsed away with clean water into a drain or runoff.
