Lift for bakes

Sweet spring bakes are enhanced with a pinch of salt. Because the quantity is so small it cannot be tasted, but it will develop and round out the flavours. Without it, items can taste flat, or overly sweet. Flavours which are particularly enhanced by salt include lemon, almond and vanilla.
