Strik­ing in shape and colour­ing, the leaves of ev­er­green be­go­nia ‘Es­car­got’ form a spi­ral, mim­ick­ing its snail name­sake. It is a Rex be­go­nia, a va­ri­ety grown mainly for its fo­liage. The sil­ver and green leaves are sprin­kled with pink hairs, while the leaf stalk has dense red hairs. Small white or pale pink flow­ers may ap­pear in spring, sum­mer or au­tumn.
