Coastal votives

A handful of sand collected on a day at the beach forms the base for an attractive candleholder. Placed within a recycled jar or pot, the sand holds the tealight safely in place. Tiny shells scavenged from the shore and miniature starfish cut from old card are affixed to the outside as decoration. Burning candles are never left unattended.
