Old cutlery is easily turned into a hanging decoration with a difference. A hole is carefully drilled at the end of each handle while it is held securely in a vice. Lengths of transparent craft thread are attached to each piece. This gives the impression that the cutlery is floating in the air. A simple cross is formed from two pieces of wood, joined at their centres with a screw. The threads are tied to the hanger and the finished mobile hung from a loop of twine in the desired spot.
