SenSe of the SeaSon
Textile artist Sue Barker uses her 20-year-old sewing machine to create impressions of flowers and scenery in silk and cotton threads. These are stitched on to pieces of cotton and voile that she has hand-dyed or painted. By varying the tension and speed at which she works, Sue builds up a sense of movement and texture. Photographs of the resulting artworks are turned into these colourful greetings cards. Left blank to suit all occasions, they measure 6in by 6in.
