On 1 December the church will be filled with 70 decorated Christmas trees. According to legend, St Boniface, who was born at Crediton, invented the Christmas tree in a confrontation with pagans. The first three days of the festival include a bell tower tour, followed by carol concerts on the Saturday and Sunday.
