PreParing to Plant

Handmade in the Shropshire workshop of family-run design and wood-turning firm Creamore Mill, this tamper and dibber are useful additions to the potting shed. Using a tamper to firm the soil before sowing helps to improve germination rates. A light sprinkle of water beforehand and a layer of compost afterwards complete the job. The dibber is 14cm long, making it ideal for large seeds and small bulbs, while the tamper is 6.5cm in diameter. Both are crafted from sustainably-sourced oak.
