Bright crocheted rug

Quick and easy to make, a circular crochet mat makes a colourful impact in the bedroom

-

this bright rug is straightforward to make, taking shape faster than may have been expected. It looks like a giant project, but can be completed in just a few hours. The very thick yarn grows extremely quickly and is fun to work with. After creating a basic circle of trebles, a contrasting border adds a splash of colour underfoot. By substituting 4-ply yarn, the simple-to-follow pattern can be adapted to create a much smaller place mat, if desired.
