Dainty posy in the foliage

-

Now is the perfect time to make the most of the lighter, warmer nights by either dining, or simply sitting, outside in the garden in the evening. Hanging jars containing simple posies of roses and sweet peas from branches creates a burst of gentle colour among the foliage. At the same time, their sweet scent fills the air with beautiful fragrance. The hangers are made from wire, wound round the neck of the jar. Ideally, screwtop jars with threads or those with pronounced lips are used, to help anchor the wire in place and avoid it slipping off. Garden twine knotted in place round the jar neck completes the decoration.
