Return of noisy visitors
I live in a Cotswold village, and most years we see a swarm of honeybees in our garden. The noise they make is tremendous, with many hundreds flying maniacally around. I eagerly await this spectacle each year and with the decline in honey bees, I feel blessed when they make an appearance. This summer, they settled in my hedge, which is about 10ft tall. I had to stand on a chair to get this photo. Julie Duffield, OxfordshirÂe
