Caring for cloths

With their tough weave, cotton cleaning rags are economical and excellent for scrubbing and cleaning surfaces. However, they should be well cared for to prolong life and prevent the spread of germs. To clean, they are boiled for 15 mins before laundering as normal. Adding ½-1 cup of white vinegar to the boil helps cut through grease. After each use, a thorough rinse before they are left to dry can prevent unpleasant smells, keeping the cloths fresh and hygienic.
