Growing miniature greens

A towering display of edible seedlings makes a fresh addition to the kitchen table

-

tINY EDIBLE GREENS are easy to grow, and a planter comprised of stacked pots is an ideal way of saving space. A mix of bowls and jelly moulds of varying shapes and sizes are filled with potting mix and planted with seeds. The containers are placed on top of each other in order of descending size to create a lush tower. Seedlings are chosen when they are still small, to be added to salads, where their intense flavours can be enjoyed. The planter also makes an attractive centrepiece for a spring lunch, with guests able to snip off shoots and help themselves.
