Fresh from the fArm

From their small farm on the edge of Dartmoor, Jan and Stuart, of Maddocks Farm Organics, grow edible flowers, which they sell dried or fresh in boxes. Availability depends on what is in bloom at the time of ordering, and selections can be made for use as cake decorations or in savoury dishes or cocktails. In May, nasturtiums are in season, and boxes of 35 can be bought in mixed shades of red, orange and yellow, or one particular colour requested. The petals’ peppery bite is similar to that of watercress, making a bright, flavoursome addition to a spring salad.
